Recent Advances in Aerobic Photo-Oxidation over Small-Sized IB Metal Nanoparticles

Aerobic photo-oxidation is a kind of green catalytic process that give valuable chemicals because its mild reaction conditions and high product selectivity. Recently, small-sized IB metal nanoparticles (NPs; e.g., Cu, Ag, Au, sized 1–3 nm) upon the surface titanium oxide show excellent photocatalytic performance. The introduction NPs can enhance separation photo-generated holes/electrons during photo-oxidations. In this account, we summarize recent progress catalyzed by aerobic photo-oxidations, including conversion methanol, ethanol, sulfide, benzylamine. More importantly, structure–property correlations at atomic level are detailed discussed, insights into activation oxygen identification active sites. Future investigations needed to carry out reveal mechanisms pathways.
